Waste Site Label Requirement and Recycling Rules

All household waste must be contained in clear garbage bags (personal items may be put in a small white kitchen bag.)  Any bag containing recyclable materials, accepted at the landfill sites, will be refused at the waste site.  

Each bag must have a waste disposal label.   These labels can be purchased at a cost of $15.00 for a book of 10 ($1.50 a label) at either the Lansdowne or Lyndhurst Municipal Offices,  Lucky Dollar Convenience STore, Lansdowne; Gananoque Rent-all, Gananoque; Short Point Gas and Convenience, Lyndhurst; Lyndhurst Groceterial, Lyndhurst; Escott Public Library; Rockport Lighthouse Gas Bar on the 1000 Island Parkway.

Construction Waste Fees

Please note that  the appropriate labels and a Construction Waste Permit must be obtained at the township office before taking any constuction waste to the waste site.
