Business Support and Economic Development

The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands is an international playground of unrivaled natural beauty, a vibrant and diverse community in Eastern Ontario. We have the world renowned 1000 Islands and St. Lawrence Seaway along our southern boundary and the UNESCO designated Rideau Canal and lock system along our northern boundary.  TLTI is conveniently located half-way between Toronto to the west and Montreal to the east. Ottawa, Canada's capital, is just 90 minutes away and the Thousand Islands International Bridge, which links Ontario to New York State, is located in the Township.

The Township is home to approximately 9,500 permanent residents and welcomes thousands of seasonal residents every summer.  There are a variety of businesses located throughout the surrounding rural community, along with shops in the villages of Lansdowne, Lyndhurst, Rockport and Seeley's Bay.

If you are looking to start or expand your business in TLTI and have Zoning questions reach out to our Planning and Development Department at 613 -659-2415.

Please visit the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville Economic Development Department, as well as the UCLG Business Directory for Leeds and the Thousand Islands below.  You can also visit the Lyndhurst, Seeley's Bay and District Chamber of Commerce, or the 1000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce  websites below to learn more about the business community and the supports offered by each.
