Director of Operations and Infrastructure, Permanent Full-Time  - Competition No. 2026-04

The Township is seeking an individual to join our team in the full-time position of Director of Operations and Infrastructure.

The Director of Operations is a senior management position and will develop, manage and implement strategies, plans, budget coordination, asset management planning, and needs assessments to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Engineering and be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Professional Engineers of Ontario or another Canadian provincial regulatory body. Alternatively, a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation, together with equivalent work experience, may be considered.

The salary range for this position is $137,082 to $154,318, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Township offers a comprehensive benefits package and participation in the OMERS pension plan. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

 Roads Patrol/Equipment Operator 1, Temporary Full-Time Competition No. 26-09

Duration:  November 3, 2026 to April 23, 2027

As a member of the Operations Department, the Roads Patrol/Equipment Operator 1, TFT will 
be responsible for winter road patrol throughout the Township infrastructure.

 

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • Valid DZ Driver’s License 
  • Completion of OSSD (Grade 12) or equivalent
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy 
    equipment and machinery, preferably within a municipal setting
  • Required availability to work 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Monday to Friday
  • Working knowledge of all application legislation, by-laws, and policies related to 
    transportation and environmental services in a municipal setting, including use and 
    handling of hazardous waste, chemicals, and materials
  • Working knowledge of the skilled operation of heavy equipment and machinery and 
    ability to make minor adjustments and repairs on equipment
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships and use good judgement and initiative 
    when dealing with coworkers, supervisors, and the public
  • Complete daily maintenance of equipment logbooks
  • Criminal background check and driver’s abstract required in good standing  
  • Available to work overtime

This is a unionized position with CUPE, Local 5397. The 2026 wage for the position is $29.36 to 
$33.69 per hour plus a shift premium in the amount of $1.00 per hour which applies to all hours 
worked on the road patrol midnight shift.
