The community is invited to join us for a special celebration as we raise the 25th Anniversary of Amalgamation Flag at the Municipal office, 1233 Prince Street, Lansdowne.
This commemorative flag features a community-inspired design created by Mr. JP Jackson, capturing the 25th year of Amalgamation. We are excited to officially raise the flag and mark this special milestone together.

June 26, 2026, Lansdowne, ON – Families, children, Council members, staff, community members, and project partners gathered today to celebrate the grand reopening of Jerry Park, marking the completion of exciting upgrades that include new accessible and inclusive playground equipment designed to welcome children of all abilities.
The celebration brought the community together to recognize the importance of creating safe, welcoming spaces where residents can connect, play, and enjoy the outdoors. The event featured remarks from Mayor Smith Gatcke and Councillor Kelman (a member of the Recreation Working Group), as well as the official ribbon-cutting to mark the reopening of the enhanced park space.

Take notice that the Council of the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands will hold a public meeting on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 6:00 pm. The meeting will be to consider the following application for amendment:
Official Plan Amendment Application D09-2026-001 and Zoning By-law Amendment Application D14-2026-007 – Administrative Amendments
Zoning By-law Amendment Application D14-2026-008 Administrative Amendment – to permit limited structures within the 30-metre water setback with a maximum combined area of 14 square metres. The proposed exception would not apply to lots fronting on Highly Sensitive Lake Trout Lakes (Charleston and Red Horse) and would not permit structures containing sleeping accommodation within the setback area.

Join us on June 11th at the Lansdowne Community Hall from 2 pm. to 4 p.m. as we celebrate and honour seniors across the Township. Enjoy some music and presentations. Light refreshments and snacks will be available.

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville will be removing an existing stone masonry wall and constructing a new engineered retaining wall in Lansdowne to improve slope stability and enhance public safety.
