Noise by-law Exemption Requests

Noise is regulated by the Township's Noise By-law. The by-law includes both general restrictions on certain types of noise as well as time-based restrictions for certain activities. Certain activities within the Township may require an exemption to Noise By-Law #22-049, such as special events featuring amplified sound (anniversaries, birthday parties, weddings, etc.), or overnight/weekend construction. If you are looking to have a large get-together, such as an anniversary, birthday party, or wedding, or you intend to perform construction activities outside of the allowable times established in the by-law, you are encouraged to apply for a noise by-law exemption.

Cosmo Campground -

July 18^th, 2026 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. – One Man Band

August 15^th, 2026 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. – Car Show

August 22^nd, 2026 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. – One Man Band

These three dates are approved for an exemption of the Township Noise By-law in relation to amplified sounds, including but not limited to announcements, music and singing.
