Lansdowne Water Storage Booster Pump Station Upgrade Project

Updated October 1, 2026

In the areas of Ivan, Frederick and King Streets, residents will see contractors mobilize and install traffic control signage effective October 1st. 

Beginning October 2nd, pipe work along with erosion and sediment control placement will take place.

Crews will be working in the unopened road allowance between King and Frederick Streets on October 5th and 6th. 

Motorists, please obey traffic control signage, flag persons and give workers and equipment plenty of space. 

September 17, 2026

The project to update the Water Storage and Booster Pump Station is planned begin the week of September 28, 2026.

Contractors will begin to set up construction staging in the area for the project in the back parking area of Jerry Park.

Underground infrastructure repairs and modifications are planned to be completed in the coming weeks this fall. Work is planned to be completed in 3 phases which will require road closures and detours for the following locations.

Phase 1 – Ivan Street road closure

Phase 2 – King Street West right lane closure

Phase 3 – Church Street/Garden Street to Jessie Street road closure and detour.

Over the winter and spring months, manufacturing of the water storage tank and booster pump station will be completed and be ready for installation in 2027. The pump station and tank storage site construction will begin spring of 2027. The full project is projected to be completed in December of 2027. 

Jerry Park Playground Equipment Installation

Update - June 26, 2026

The Township celebrated the grand re-opening of Jerry Park up and its newly upgraded accessible and inclusive playground on Friday, June 26, 2026.

The revitalized park features new inclusive playground equipment that promotes play, exploration, and social interaction while providing enhanced accessibility for users with varying abilities.  These improvements reflect the municipality’s commitment to creating public spaces that everyone can enjoy.

About the Project:

In 2024, the Jerry Park playground equipment condition assessment identified that the equipment had passed its’ useful life and required replacement. Park improvements were undertaken to enhance accessibility, inclusion, and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors, including the installation of new pathways to improve mobility access to the play structures.  The new playground has been designed to provide engaging play experiences for children of varying ages and abilities, helping to create a welcoming community space where everyone can play, connect and belong. 

Seeley's Bay Hall

The Seeley's Bay Fire Hall / Community Hall, situated at 151 Main Street in the Village of Seeley's Bay, has dutifully served the Township since its establishment in 1950.

Initially constructed through community fundraising efforts, the fire hall began as a single-bay facility. Over the years, it has undergone multiple expansions, including the addition of a community hall, located on the second level.

With the recent move of the fire department to a new facility, the opportunity to revision the space was developed  . Through a public RFP process, the Township selected IDEA Inc. to act as the Primary Consultant for the adaptive reuse of the facility.

Project Update

• Community members brought forward their visioning ideas through a survey which was available online and in print from September 4 to September 19, 2025.
• A Public Information Centre (PIC) was held on October 16, 2025.  The project team representatives were available to answer questions and discuss next steps.  The following PowerPoint presentation by IDEA Inc. was shared with those who attended, Seeley's Bay Community Public Forum:  Survey Analysis Takeaways
• Township staff met with IDEA Inc. virtually on October 31 and November 27 to review potential design options and explore how the building could accommodate a range of uses identified through survey feedback and the Public Meeting.
• November 28, 2025 - Staff will now explore and gather more information about the specific space requirements, should some of the identified organizations wish to operate within the building.  Once this information is collected, staff will reconvene with IDEA Inc. to refine the concepts, then bring a report forward to Council in the new year.
• March 2, 2026 - IDEA Inc. virtually attended the Committee of the Whole Meeting to speak to the Seeley's s Bay Hall Visioning and share the Community Hall Schematic Design.
• Council deferred the Seeley's Bay Revisioning Project, asking staff to bring a report back to Council at a later date.
