Jerry Park Playground Equipment Installation

Update - June 4, 2026

We are pleased to share that the installation of our new inclusive playground equipment at Jerry Park is nearing completion. 

Stay tuned for updates as we prepare to welcome families to the new playground structure!

Seeley's Bay Hall

The Seeley's Bay Fire Hall / Community Hall, situated at 151 Main Street in the Village of Seeley's Bay, has dutifully served the Township since its establishment in 1950.

Initially constructed through community fundraising efforts, the fire hall began as a single-bay facility. Over the years, it has undergone multiple expansions, including the addition of a community hall, located on the second level.

With the recent move of the fire department to a new facility, the opportunity to revision the space was developed  . Through a public RFP process, the Township selected IDEA Inc. to act as the Primary Consultant for the adaptive reuse of the facility.

Project Update

• Community members brought forward their visioning ideas through a survey which was available online and in print from September 4 to September 19, 2025.
• A Public Information Centre (PIC) was held on October 16, 2025.  The project team representatives were available to answer questions and discuss next steps.  The following PowerPoint presentation by IDEA Inc. was shared with those who attended, Seeley's Bay Community Public Forum:  Survey Analysis Takeaways
• Township staff met with IDEA Inc. virtually on October 31 and November 27 to review potential design options and explore how the building could accommodate a range of uses identified through survey feedback and the Public Meeting.
• November 28, 2025 - Staff will now explore and gather more information about the specific space requirements, should some of the identified organizations wish to operate within the building.  Once this information is collected, staff will reconvene with IDEA Inc. to refine the concepts, then bring a report forward to Council in the new year.
• March 2, 2026 - IDEA Inc. virtually attended the Committee of the Whole Meeting to speak to the Seeley's s Bay Hall Visioning and share the Community Hall Schematic Design.
• Council deferred the Seeley's Bay Revisioning Project, asking staff to bring a report back to Council at a later date.
