Join us for our annual Touch A Truck event hosted every year during National Public Works Week.
This is a hands-on, family-friendly afternoon where community members of all ages can get up close with vehicles and equipment that keep our municipality running. This popular event offers a unique opportunity to explore a wide range of trucks and equipment, meet the people who operate them and learn more about the services that support our community every day.
Visitors are invited to:
- Climb aboard and explore a variety of trucks and heavy equipment
- tour emergency response vehicles, including fire trucks and police cruisers
- Meet and speak with operators, firefighters, and police personnel
- Learn how these vehicles are used to maintain safety, infrastructure, and public services
Food and Community Giving
A cash-only BBQ serving hot dogs, hamburgers, pop, and water is running throughout the event.
Attendees are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food or pantry items to support our two local food banks. All donations, both food and funds raised during the event, will go directly to the ROLL Aid Centre and Gananoque & Area Food Bank, helping support individuals and families in need within our community.
