Island Access for Contractors
Contractors provide services to our island property owners on several interior lakes and the St. Lawrence River.
Outlet Boat Launch
At the Outlet boat launch on Charleston Lake (southwest tip of Charleston Lake on County Rd. 3), contractors have access to a launch and parking area.
For other interior lakes contractors are encouraged to consult the homeowner for access points.
Contractors Dock
At the Contractors Dock in Gananoque (the entrance is west of 21 King St E) contractors may park to load/unload supplies and personnel into boats for purposes of transporting to work sites.
Ivy Lea Wharf
On the St. Lawrence River the Ivy Lea Wharf (115 Ivy Lea Rd) is available for use between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. from March 15 to Nov 15 each year, unless otherwise advertised. Contractors must apply for a permit to access and use the wharf for the loading and unloading of machinery, equipment and supplies.
To submit an application and enter into an Agreement for Wharf Access, prepare the following information:
- Access Start Date and End Date
- Vessel Name
- Registration No.
- Documents to upload:
- Proof of Commercial Insurance
- Proof of Marine Insurance
By submitting an application, applicants agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Once the application is reviewed, staff will provide a key code for access.
