Pavilions and Park Space

The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands has some wonderful park space, which can be for passive use, as well as bookable space.

Our parks have public recreational facilities that vary in each park such as splash park, beaches, play equipment, swing sets and/or washrooms. These spaces are not reservable for exclusive use and are open to the public. Thank you for sharing them with the public.

Parks

Bateau Channel Park - 253 Island View Drive, Gananoque

Located in the southwest corner of the Township on Island View Drive in the Bay of St. Lawrence subdivision, this park includes:

green space
waterfront views of the Bateau channel
Vita parcour fitness trail

Centennial Park - 107 Haskins Point Rd, Seeley's Bay

Located on the Rideau Canal in the village of Seeley's Bay, this park includes:

Baseball diamond
Basketball court
Tennis court
Pickleball court
Paddle/canoe/kayak docking station
Playground
One pavilion (rental available), located next to the playground beside the parking lot
Public washrooms open 8:00 a.m. May to October
Accessible by small ramp and wood chips/stone chip pathway
Summer staff on site selling snacks and ice cream (seasonal)

If you want exclusive use of a Pavilion for a gathering, birthday party, get together or event you will need to rent it by using our Booking Rental Platform, check availability by Viewing Calendar or reaching out to our booking coordinator at recreation@townbshipleeds.on.ca or call 613-659-2415 ext. 246.

Furnace Falls Park - 108 Water St, Lyndhurst

Located in the village of Lyndhurst on Lyndhurst Creek; a short paddle to Lower Beverley Lake, this park includes:

picnic area, picnic tables, benches
dock and boat launch
paddling launch dock
accessible washrooms, open for the May long-weekend, 7 days a week from 6 a.m. 8 p.m. until November 3.
connected to Jonas Street Park via a waterfront trail
viewing platform between Furnace Falls Park and Jonah Street Park.

Haskins Point - 157 Haskins Point Rd, Seeley's Bay

On the Rideau Waterway at Seeley's Bay, this parkette includes:

viewing area
picnic area
short hiking trail
portable washroom available seasonally

Jerry Park - 1 Jessie St, Lansdowne

Located on the grounds of the Lansdowne Community Hall in the village of Lansdowne, this park includes:

Two baseball diamonds
Basketball court
Tennis court
Pickleball court
Skate park
Community Garden
Playground
Splash Pad open May long weekend until Thanksgiving.
One pavilion located next to the playground and located off the chip stone pathway
Large open spaces
Washrooms open daily 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Fridays May to October
parking by the Community Centre or behind the Pavilion accessed off of Church St., by the pickleball courts.

Jonas Street Park - 181 Jonas St, Lyndhurst

Located in the village of Lyndhurst, this park includes:

Basketball court
Playground
Small gazebo
Short walking trail along the water to Furnace Falls where there is a public boat launch, public washrooms (open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. 7 days a week (July 1 to October 10), bicycle fix-it station and picnic tables.

Kendrick's Park - 245 Short Point Rd., Lyndhurst

Unofficial baseball diamond
Beach - sandy/shallow water for swimming in Lower Beverly Lake – no lifeguards
Canteen serving snacks drinks and ice cream (9 a.m. - 7 p.m. – 7 Days a week July 1 to August 31)
Unofficial beach volleyball court/turtle nesting area
Playground
Charcoal BBQs
Horseshoe Pits
3 pavilions located on the property, (a map can be provided). There are currently no pathways to the pavilions at this time.
Washrooms open daily May to September, and then only on weekends from September to October.
Summer staff are on site selling snacks and ice cream (seasonal)

Daily admission to Kendrick's Park is $3 per adult, $2 per child, $10 per family/car or Season Family Pass for $50. Residents of the Township are admitted free with proof of address or by displaying a resident sticker on their windshield. Stickers are available at the Township administration office and Kendrick's Park canteen with proof of residency.

If you want exclusive use of a Pavilion you will need to rent it.

Here are some essential details about your Pavilion space:

Size: measures approximately 100 feet x 50 feet, with six to eight picnic tables and one to two accessible picnic tables

Capacity: approximately 40 people if you need more space you can extend to grassy space or possibly another pavilion.

Power outlets may be available in the Pavilion but are not guaranteed and are use at your own risk.

Barbeques: The space does not include a barbeque, please notify the Booking Coordinator if you are bringing one

Kendrick's park charcoal BBQs are not reservable and if using must provide all own starter and/or fuels and should follow the above outlined information when in use.

Open fire pits: require a special burn permit, please notify the booking coordinator prior to your booking if you are looking to bring a fire pit, wood burning/charcoal barbeque/burning appliance, or other open air appliance.

Alcohol: Consuming, serving or selling is not permitted in the park per the Municipal Alcohol Policy & Liquor Act of Ontario.

Amplified sound: is not included with your rental. This includes the use of but not limited to speakers, microphones, radios, instruments, bull horns, or horns are not permitted without an approved noise bylaw exemption

Smoking & Vaping is not permitted within the park per the Smoke Free Act of Ontario.

Food: Picnic food welcome, please pack in and pack out! Please remember to remove your waste when you leave to help keep our parks clean. Please notify if you are looking to bring in a caterer.

Vendors: welcome vendors, where various types of sales or services may be conducted/provided, to our spaces with a permit, but have guidelines and requirement to follow as part of the facility use bylaw. Please advise the booking coordinator, this includes but not limited to caterers, DJ's, merchants (home or business)

In addition, our parks provide various public recreational facilities in each park such as splash park, beaches, play equipment, pathways, swing sets and/or washrooms. These spaces are open to the public thank you for sharing them with the public.

There is one Pavilion located at Centennial Park in Seeley's Bay.

There are three Pavilions at Kendrick's Park in Lyndhurst.

- There are 2 to 4 charcoal BBQs in the park, each in various states. Kendricks park charcoal barbeques are not reservable and if using must provide all own starter and/or fuels and should follow the above outlined barbeque information when in use

- There are summer staff on site selling snacks and ice cream.
