Social Services
The Ontario government is responsible for providing social services. See the Social Assistance page of their website for information on income support services, such as Ontario Works and the Ontario Disability Support Program.
Senior Support Services (CPHC) provides several programs to support Seniors in the community, such as adult day services, in-home respite, foot care, home help/home maintenance, hot meals on wheels, transportation and exercise and fall prevention. EarlyON Child and Family Centres are open for in-person programs/services. Core programs are held in Brockville, Kemptville, Prescott and Gananoque as well as an outdoor program at Limerick Forest Interpretive Centre. Ontario 211 Services connects people with the appropriate information and services to enhance Canada’s social infrastructure and enable people to fully engage in their communities. 211 is confidential, you do not have to give your name or personal details. 211 can be reached online, or by calling or texting 211.

Victim Services of Leeds & Grenville will endeavor to help reduce victim trauma by providing emotional and practical support, referrals and resources after a crime or tragedy has occurred. We will also provide a single point of entry to other programs and services within a victim’s community, assisting with navigating the system and thereby helping to reduce an individual’s sense of helplessness, confusion, and stress. Transportation
Gananoque Wheels of Care provides transportation services for area residents who have a disability which prevents them from using other transportation services. Service hours are Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Trips can be booked 14 days in advance. All bookings are arranged through CPHC, by calling 1-800-465-7646 ext. 2032.
