Large Item Disposal

Large single items can be disposed of with the purchase of a $12 large item tag which can be purchased at:

• Lansdowne Freshmart, 3 King St. W., Lansdowne
• Lansdowne Municipal Office, 1233 Prince St., Lansdowne
• Lyndhurst Home Hardware, 397 Lyndhurst Road
• Seeley's Bay Freshmart, 144 Main St., Seeley's Bay

Large items include:

• box springs
• couches
• hot tubs (1-2 person)
• mattresses
• rugs
• recliners
• swing sets
• lawn furniture

If you have a truck load of items to dispose of, consider a Household Clean Up Card and don't forget to bag and tag household garbage.

Please note, waste disposal sites are for Township property owners only. 

We accept single axle (pick-up) truck or single axle trailer loads of Do-It-Yourself (DIY) construction waste. Loads can include shingles, ceramic tiles, drywall, counter tops etc.

A single axle truck or trailer load (4' x 8') is $130.  A half load is $65.  Double axle trucks and trailer loads are not accepted at Township waste disposal sites.

You must purchase a Construction Waste ticket, which are not sold at the waste disposal sites but can be purchased at:

• The Township Office, 1233 Prince Street, Lansdowne
• Lansdowne Freshmart, 3 King Street, W, Lansdowne
• Lyndhurst Home Hardware, 397 Lyndhurst Road, Lyndhurst

Waste disposal sites are for Township property owners/residents only.

Contractors are required to use other disposal options such as Waste Management in Brockville or Waste Connections of Canada in Kingston.
