Road Construction and Closures
With over 330 km, roads are one of the Township's biggest assets. The goal is to extend the life of our road assets where possible and to renew or rebuild where necessary.
We are working towards converting our gravel roads to limestone. We are also addressing culvert replacements, pulverizing, reconstruction, geotextile, patching, surface treatment and asphalt paving.
The Operations department is committed to multi-year road reconstruction projects and taking a long-term approach to allow for planned maintenance and improvements.
See the Municipal 511 map below for real-time updates (or the list of projects below for road work planned this season. Please note projects may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather and supply chain issues. The Township askes that drivers plan their routes accordingly and obey all signs and traffic controls in work zones to ensure the safety of workers.
Construction and Roadwork
Contractors conducting work within our Township are encouraged to follow the Clean Equipment Protocol for Industry.
For any upcoming road construction, signage is posted to let residents know of the expected completion dates. To see what we are working on this year view our Quarterly Work Plan below.
