Noise by-law Exemption Requests

Noise is regulated by the Township's Noise By-law. The by-law in​cludes both general restrictions on certain types of noise as well as time-based restrictions for certain activities. Certain activities within the Township may require an exemption to Noise By-Law #22-049, such as special events featuring amplified sound (anniversaries, birthday parties, weddings, etc.), or overnight/weekend construction. If you are looking to have a large get-together, such as an anniversary, birthday party, or wedding, or you intend to perform​​ construction activities outside of the allowable times established in the by-law, you are encouraged to apply for a noise by-law exemption.
