Permanent Full-Time Chief Building Official - Competition No. 2026-03
The Township is seeking an individual to join our team in the full-time position of Chief Building Official.
Reporting to the Director of Planning and Development, the Chief Building Official is responsible for providing leadership for the general administration of building services for the Township.
The salary range for this position is $98,753.00 to $111,129.00 commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Township offers a comprehensive benefits package and participation in the OMERS pension plan. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

We are currently hiring for the follow Summer Student positions:
- Horticultural Attendant (1 full-time position summer position)
- Responsible for the care and maintenance of Township gardens and planters
- Current student in a post-secondary program in Horticulture or similar program from an accredited institution
- Position typically begins early May, 40 hour work week, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. which could include evening and weekend hours
- Must hold a valid Ontario Driver's license (minimum G2)
- Park Attendant (Seeley's Bay Harbour, Centennial Park, Kendrick's Park), (4 full-time and 2 part-time summer positions)
- Responsible for delivering customer service, operating the canteen and/or maintaining the harbour
- Position begins in late June. Weekend hours will be available in May, prior to the summer season.
- Current post-secondary or high school student
- The ideal candidate will hold an Ontario Driver's licence (minimum G2)
- Park Maintenance Attendant (6 full-time positions, 2 College/University positions and 4 high school summer positions)
- Responsible for the ground maintenance of the Township parks, spaces, sports fields, facilities and cemeteries.
- Position typically begins early May and late June, 40 hour work week, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. which could include evening and weekend hours.
- An Ontario Driver's licence (minimum G2) is considered an asset
- Recreation Attendant ( 1 full-time summer position)
- Responsible for supporting and facilitating activities and special events within the Township
- Position will research, implement and engage area residents in recreational activities and events at various Township parks.
- Position typically begins in May, based on a 35 hour work week, 9:00 a.m. to 4:430 p.m. Work schedule will include evening and weekend hours
- Ontario Driver's licence (full G preferred)
The 2026 hourly wage is $19.45 to $21.88
