Council
Our Township Council consists of a mayor and six councillors. Council meets in chambers at 1233 Prince Street, Lansdowne. Our Council welcomes public engagement and encourages residents to bring matters to their attention. If you would like to speak at a meeting complete and submit a Deputation Request form.
Council gathers on the first Monday of the month to hear public input at the Committee of the Whole (COTW) meeting. Council reconvenes on the second Monday of the month to make decisions based on the agenda items from the previous week.

Notice is hereby given to the Eligible Electors of the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands.
Applications for the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands will be accepted for the offices of:

Qualified applicants will be required to provide proof of identity and residence, a Consent to Release Personal Information form and Declaration of Qualification form, they may also submit a one-page (8 ½ x 11, 12 point font or greater) personal statement of qualifications for consideration to the Clerk in person by appointment at the Township office during regular office hours between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday) beginning on Monday, October 27, 2025. Forms will be accepted between 9:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2025 and Wednesday, November 5, 2025 until 4:30 p.m.
