  • Leeds Fire Donates to Firefighters Without Borders Canada

Fire Service staff and Councillors were on site today for a presentation of a donated pumper and equipment to Firefighters Without Borders Canada, which is being prepared for shipment to the Sunchild First Nation in Alberta.
This is the third truck donated to this worthy organization. Leeds Fire also donated older fire gear, SCBAs (self-contained breathing apparatuses), fans, and auto-extrication equipment. Chief Halladay from Front of Yonge Fire Services was also on hand for their Municipality’s donation of hose, air tanks, pumps and multiple other pieces of used fire equipment.
Leeds Captain Chris Kirkland recently returned from Albania, where the Firefighters Without Borders Canada Dream Team 2 spent two weeks training firefighters throughout the county. TLTI Fire Services thanks Council for their support in these donations.
