September 4, 2026 – SEELEY’S BAY, ON – Parks Canada advises residents and visitors that temporary pedestrian crossing at Brass Point Bridge will be unavailable on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 7 a.m. until the work is completed that day. The temporary closure is required to support ongoing construction activities associated with the Brass Point Bridge replacement project. During this time, pedestrians will not be able to cross the bridge. Navigation will not be affected.
Parks Canada appreciates the patience and understanding of residents, businesses and visitors as this important infrastructure project moves forward.

Kingston – Cataraqui Conservation and other regional Water Managers have begun seasonal water level adjustments on managed lakes within the Cataraqui Region.
Every fall, following the summer recreation season, water levels on managed lakes (a lake with a water control structure such as a dam) are drawn down by Cataraqui Conservation and local water management staff to create more capacity for fall rains, runoff from spring snow melt and rainfall. It’s also done to stabilize water levels prior to winter freeze-up to promote a stable ice surface throughout the winter

TLTI has issued a Special Event Permit to Lyndhurst Events, Arts and Fair Inc. for the Lyndhurst Turkey Fair, to be held in the Village of Lyndhurst on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Louis W. Bray Construction Limited has been retained by the Ministry of Transportation to perform construction work on Hwy. 401 at the county road 32 underpass under contract number 2022-4009.
As part of this contract, we will be performing deficiency repair work to the underside of the Cty. Rd. 32 underpass with construction activities commencing on Sunday August 9th and will be completed by August 21st.
