Road Closures and Lane Restrictions

The Lansdowne Water Storage & Booster Pump Station project commences Monday, Sept 28.
Residents and motorists will see crews on Ivan Street, King Street West, Church Street, and Garden Street.

Progress is dependent upon weather, manpower and schedules.

Traffic control measures will be in place; please reduce speed and obey flag persons.

The Jerry Park splash pad summer fun season has wrapped up and is closed for the season. The playground, sports courts, and park remain open while Township staff begin to winterize the splash pad.

The Township Office will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in honour of National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. Regular office hours resume on Thursday, October 1.

The Waste Sites will be open Saturday, September 26, closed Wednesday, September 30 and resume regular hours on Wednesday, October 1.

If your road association needs assistance with regular maintenance costs such as snow removal, grading, brushing or dust control, apply today!

The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) has scheduled routine maintenance work on the sanitary sewer systems in the Town of Lansdowne

The work is scheduled to take place October 13-October 16, 2026, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This routine maintenance work involves high pressure cleaning of the sanitary sewers located in the roadway. This type of cleaning activity can sometimes cause back pressure, resulting in ‘splashing’ occurring in toilets. It is recommended that all toilet seats are left in a closed position during this maintenance work, that you refrain from using toilets when maintenance vehicles are present near your location, and that you run water in all plumbing fixtures (taps) for a minimum of 5 Seconds after the work has been completed.

Once the maintenance vehicles have left your area, you may resume using your facilities
as usual.

September 4, 2026 – SEELEY’S BAY, ON – Parks Canada advises residents and visitors that temporary pedestrian crossing at Brass Point Bridge will be unavailable on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 7 a.m. until the work is completed that day. The temporary closure is required to support ongoing construction activities associated with the Brass Point Bridge replacement project. During this time, pedestrians will not be able to cross the bridge. Navigation will not be affected.

Parks Canada appreciates the patience and understanding of residents, businesses and visitors as this important infrastructure project moves forward.
