Accessibility Week | New Hearing Assistance System
The Township is pleased to announce the addition of a new hearing assistance system at our front counter to help improve accessibility and customer service for residents and visitors.
The Opus Technologies Portable Induction Loop System has been installed to support clear communication for individuals who use hearing aids or cochlear implants equipped with telecoils (T-coils). The system works by transmitting sound directly to compatible hearing devices, helping to reduce background noise and improve speech clarity during conversations with staff.
Residents who use T-coil-enabled hearing devices can simply switch their device to the “T” setting when speaking with staff at the front counter to benefit from the system.
The Township remains committed to removing barriers and enhancing accessibility across our facilities and services. These same devices will be installed in the LTI libraries in the weeks to come.
We encourage residents to contact us if they have questions about accessibility accommodations or services available at municipal facilities.
