Heritage Week | February 16 - February 22, 2026

Each February, the Ontario Heritage Trust, encourages Ontarians to participate in Heritage Week to celebrate all forms of heritage (cultural, natural, architectural, archaeological and collections).

Since 1974, the third Monday of February has been identified as Heritage Day in Canada. In 2026, Heritage Week takes place from February 16 to 22.

To celebrate Heritage Week this year, with the support of the Leeds and 1000 Islands Historical Society, we will be highlighting the cultural heritage of our community by sharing some of the interpretive signs located within the Township on our social media account.
