Hydro One Announces Upcoming Planned Outage in our Area
A planned outage is scheduled for July 7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This outage is required to allow crews to safely complete repairs to storm-damaged electrical equipment.
Approximately 291 Hydro One customers will be impacted by this planned outage. Affected customers have already been notified through Hydro's automated phone system. Customers can visit the outage map, (select "future planned outages" in the legend) or call 1-888-664-9376 for more information.
Tips to Prepare for the Planned Outage
1. Ensure appliances, such as stoves, are in the off position.
2. Fully charge cellphones and other necessary devices.
3. Use a battery powered alarm clock or cellphone for wake-up alarms.
4. Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible; use a cooler with ice for items needed during the outage.
5. If water service may be affected, fill containers with water for drinking and cooking.
6. If using a generator, operate it outdoors in a dry area, away from open windows, doors, and vents. Visit the Electrical Safety Authority at esasafe.com for more safety tips.
