Weight Restrictions on Township Roads

Due to fluctuating temperatures, weight restrictions on Township roads take effect on March 2, 2026.

These half-load restrictions help maintain the Township's road network and infrastructure.

Depending on spring temperatures and weather conditions, half-loads may be lifted sooner than the usual May 15 end date.

Qualified Contractors List

Each year the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands requires the services of various trades to assist in the completion of narrow-scope assignments or to support the general operation of the Municipality. 

With the goal of developing a 2026 roster of Qualified Contractors, the Township is inviting trades to complete an application detailing available services and providing hourly rates for various personnel and equipment.

If you are interested, please review the Contractor Reference Guide and complete the Application for Qualified Contractors List. 

Deadline for submissions is March 20, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.

All applications will be reviewed, and contractors will be notified in writing of the status of their application.
