Leeds Fire has issued a Level 5 FULL Burn Ban in effect in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, due to the dry conditions.
No open-air burning of brush piles, incinerators, or burn barrels, effective immediately and until the ban is lifted.
All open-air burning including campfires, cooking fires and fireworks is prohibited at this time; appliances equipped with a shut off mechanism are still permitted (i.e. propane fueled BBQ),
Residents are encouraged to check for updates on-line or at the Township Office.
