Training Standards

TLTI develops and deliver standards-based training that meet and often exceed the job performance requirements set forth by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) in a comfortable and safety-oriented environment. In addition to certification training, student-learners are encouraged to participate in skills and tactics training offered to promote recent trends in the Fire Service regarding modern firefighting techniques.
Instructional Staff
Our instructional staff is a complement of highly-trained, experienced individuals from across the region, spanning through fire-suppression and emergency response divisions, Specialized Operations, Fire Prevention, Public Education and Life Safety Officers. In partnership with the Office of the Fire Marshal of Ontario Emergency Management (OFMEM) and the Ontario Fire College (OFC) we provide quality OFC program delivery in south-eastern Ontario through the Adjunct Instructor designation. Through this partnership, TLTI is pleased to host not only OFC NFPA programs, but also Ontario designated material specific to the Ontario Fire Code.
Accessibility
We will provide training with accessibility accommodation where possible. We ask that any required accommodations, including but not limited to physical, dietary or learning, be noted on the student's application.
Meeting Room Rental
Looking for a facility to hold your professional development training? We offer 1 day rentals of this facility and multi-day rentals at a discounted rate. Catering services may also be available. See our meeting room page for details.

Pro Board and IFSAC certification testing and skills evaluation is delivered through the OFMEM, Academic Standards and Evaluations (AS&E) unit upon completion of specific programs.
