Spring Clean Up Tips
Spring has sprung! This time of year is often the time for doing some clean up around your yard, at the cottage or any property you own. The South East Health Unit want to remind you that this activity can expose some hazards that may not be safe. Take precautions to help reduce your risk of infection.
Cleaning up around the yard, including trimming brush, will also help reduce tick and mosquito breeding grounds. These pests live close to their breeding...

Construction Notification – MTO 2024-4005, Ramp Closure Notification
Starting the week of May 4, 2025, until August 2025
GIP Paving Inc. will start full construction operations on Highway 401 at Mallorytown Road and move into Stage 2 of the project, which will affect the following ramp.
Please see below the schedule of the ramp closure required to complete this work:

Media Release | April 11, 2025 South East Health Unit reporting new measles exposures in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties
South East Health Unit (SEHU) is advising the community of additional measles exposures in Picton, Bloomfield, and Trenton.
If you were present at these locations during these timeframes and are:
• immunocompromised (regardless of age or immunity)
• born after 1970 and not up to date with your vaccinations
• an infant less than 12 months
• pregnant
• a health-care provider or...
