Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township News
For the week of September 14, 2020

With schools reopening we would like to remind you to check school websites and Facebook pages for special COVID safety precautions regarding pick up and drop off procedures.

For walkers at Thousand Islands Elementary, a family member will park at the Lansdowne Library and one adult walks with child(ren)(K-3) or the child walks the block to the school (grades 4-6).

For Ivan Street Parking, (the end of the Frederick/Jessie St loop), family member(s) will park on the school side of Ivan St., (avoid parking on lawns), and one adult may accompany child(ren) to the school gate entrance and follow the signs.

For dismissal at 3:35pm, a family member will park either on Ivan St or at the Lansdowne Library. One family member enters through the Ivan St gate and picks up the child at the designated location.

All changes to transportation must be communicated to the office before 3:00 p.m. daily.

At Sweets Corners Elementary, Parents/ Guardians who choose to drive their child will be using the North-East parking lot which is set up as a Drive-Thru. You will enter and wait until you drive around to where the sidewalk starts and staff will direct your child to the proper entrance.

For pick up you will need to call the office by 2:30pm if you want to pick up your child at the end of the day. If you will be picking up your child at the end of every day, you only need to notify the school of a change. The pick-up location remains the North-East parking lot. Enter the Drive – Thru and staff will dismiss your child to your vehicle.
