For the week of October 19, 2020

Please check the Civic Web Portal at for the following upcoming meetings; PEER meeting and Economic Development Committee Meeting on October 21st, and Committee of Adjustment meeting on October 27th.

Final tax bills are due at the end of this week on October 23rd. Taxes can be paid at the Township office, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm, by cash, cheque or debit.

Just a reminder that open air burning requires a permit. Anyone 18 years and older, who is the owner of a property within the Township, or who has been authorized in writing by the owner, may apply for a permit. The permit is free and is valid until December 31. Search for “Burn Permits” on the Township website, and before you burn, call 613-704-1812 for burn conditions.

On Friday October 23rd at 7 p.m. please join the Leeds & Grenville Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society as they hear from Susan Warren about “The Irish and the Rideau Canal”.  The Irish not only helped build the Rideau Canal but contributed significantly to the development of Leeds and Grenville. Using original paintings and original documents this presentation will explore those themes.
